Tuna Bolognese with Kalamata Olives

This simple tuna and pasta recipe packs enormous flavor and can be done in less than 20 min!

When time is tight and hunger strikes, this quick-cooking Italian inspired dish will save the day with its simple ingredients! Its humbleness belies a flavor that's nothing short of symphonic. A meal you won't soon forget and will become a go to favorite!
Tuna Bolognese with Kalamata olives
Serves 2

Ingredients:
1 packet of Spaghetti pasta (I prefer to use Gluten Free pasta)
12 ounces of you favorite marinara sauce (I highly recommend Rao's brand)
1 can of tuna fish in olive oil drained
2-3 large garlic cloves chopped
1 medium red onion diced
Half tablespoon of Italian herb seasoning
Kalamata olives pitted and sliced in half
1 tablespoon of olive oil
Salt and Pepper to taste
Optional: Grated Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes
Directions:
Prepare pasta per the packaging instructions
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a medium pot on medium heat
Once heated, add onions and saute until slightly translucent
Stir in the chopped garlic and cook for another 30 sec or until fragrant
Add the tuna fish and Italian seasoning. Mix together and break up the tuna while cooking for another minute.
Add marinara sauce and Kalamata olives to the pot and combine
Taste sauce and add salt and pepper to taste
Simmer on low heat for 15 min
Divide cooked pasta between serving bowls and top with warm tuna bolognese sauce
Optional: top it off with grated parmesan cheese or red pepper flakes for an extra spice kick
